NEW TEAM DRIVES BARNSTAPLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Barnstaple Chamber of Commerce has elected Jon Dunkley, Partner and Head of Employment Law at Toller Beattie LLP solicitors, as its new President, to drive forward the Chamber in supporting local firms.
On speaking of his appointment Jon said “I am honoured to have been given this opportunity to help the local business community emerge from this period of austerity and look forward to helping them reach their full potential during more prosperous times ahead.”
Regarding the benefits of joining the Chamber, Jon commented: “Membership of the Barnstaple Chamber of Commerce can help provide a focus to local firms’ training, networking and lobbying. Having the ‘weight’ of the Chamber behind you can add considerable value to your business and there are many specific membership benefits listed on the new Chamber website at www.barnstaplechamber.co.uk.”
Jon takes over from Phil Byers who has masterminded the Chamber’s Centenary Year, its increasing membership and its internal restructuring in what has been a very difficult economic time for local businesses.
