Barnstaple & District Chamber of Commerce has been leading the local business community since 1911.
It is a membership organisation owned by and run for local business as a powerful voice uniquely positioned at the heart of the local economy. The Chamber seeks to support and represent its members and the whole business community at local, regional and national level adding value by helping them to succeed, grow and increase profitability.
Over the years the Chamber has played a fundamental role in the region's business life, being the 'voice and ears' of local business, and provision of truly independent business representation and lobbying, networking and signposting for the benefit of its members and the wider business community.
In consultation with members we aim to be an effective pressure group, engaging and influencing policy and decision-makers as a mature, responsible, and independent organisation. Working for what is believed to be best for the local economy.
The Chamber also plays a major role in facilitating and promoting partnership working between different groups including both Private and Public sectors.
